January 2019 Fashion Friday: Desi + Mat

The first Fashion Friday of 2019 is here! This elopement styled shoot took place up the Northshore of Lake Superior at Gooseberry Falls State Park with the one & only Kellie Rae of Kellie Rae Studio.

S&G’s very own Desiree and her love, Mat, were the perfect couple for this shoot and their own style made an appearance as well {{please note Desi’s henna and her love of mandalas}}.

The bouquet consisting of peonies, garden roses, spray roses, raspberry foliage, tweedia, blule godetia, echinacea, and local dahlias accenting Desiree’s henna and boho style 2-piece dress was all in all a stellar combination.

September 2017 Wedding Wednesday

Jackie + Rob's gorgeous Summit Chalet wedding at Lutsen Mountains this summer was perfection! With tones of blush + white, accented with eucalyptus all around, it was effortless + romantic! 

Jackie looked effortless in her bridal gown from Flutter Bridal Boutique in Minneapolis with her loose waves, she was something out of a magazine! Her groom looking dapper as ever in a sapphire blue suit for a classic pop of color!

Her bouquet consisting of peonies, hydrangea, + a variety of roses in white + blush tones accented by seeded + silver dollar eucalyptus! Rob's boutonniere coordinating perfectly with the subtle white spray rose + seeded eucalyptus. Simple, yet elegant! 

There truly is nothing better than Lutsen Mountains in the gift that is a Minnesota summer + Jackie + Rob hit the nail on the head with their wedding.

Wedding Wednesday January 2016

We decided to start off the New Year by featuring an extra special couple. Emily (one of Mad Chicken's very own!) & Charlie's fall wedding can serve as inspiration to any bride and groom. The couple said "I do" at a private residence on Lester River and followed the vows with friends & family at the Red Herring Lounge. We loved working with a couple who had such great taste! Their floral accents enhanced the vintage feel of the day. The brewery inspired boutonniere featured hopps & wheat while the bouquets consisted of dahlias, amaranthus, gilded succulents, garden roses, a variety of fall foliage, & draping ribbon to top everything off! Emily's hair crown was perfectly accentuated by the stylings of the Language of Hair. They truly embraced all Duluth has to offer, from Zenith Bread Project & Martha's Daughter Catering's delicious offerings, groomsman gifts from Hemlocks Leatherworks, and even Duluth Coffee Company favors roasted by the groom himself! Every aspect of the couple's day was gorgeously captured by Mad Chicken Studio {check out their original blog post for more photos here!}
