love and bye!

2018 started out on a very sad note for us, here at Saffron + Grey! We lost our main gal, Maria...no she didn't die, she just moved to Minneapolis to pursue her grown-up job. 

Our darling RiRI has been with us since day 1, almost 7 years ago! She was our office manager extraordinaire, master of setting up weddings, + some...we truly don't know how we are going to get on without her! Thus a blog post about our feelings. 

The BEST Kellie Rae Studio came on over to capture Maria's very sad last day, so we are oh so thankful for friends with cameras. 

Dear Maria, we are very proud of you but we truly hate that you're gone as much as you hate hugs. Love your face! See you on the flip-flop!

January 2018 Fashion Friday: Brittany + Ryan

Brittany + Ryan's Bayfield, Wisconsin wedding this past summer was nothing less than total + absolute perfection; lakeside chic mixed with a modern Bollywood color palette to create a seamless + unique day! For real, we knew Britt was going to hit it out of the park, she is the gypsy of SimplyGypsy Events after all + the mastermind behind the whole day + it was practically perfect in every imaginable way...but we could have called that! 

A variety of dusty blues made up the bridesmaid's individual looks, along with Ryan looking dapper to the extreme with a pale blue shirt, deep blue pant, + paisley tie, everything coming together + complimenting Brittany's stunning custom skirt over her simple white strapless dress [serious goals]. The bright + saturated colors of Britt + her bridesmaids' bouquets went so well, it was almost freaky how good everything looked together! + with the picture perfect green trees + the beauty of Lake Superior as the backgrounds, HOLY SMOKES!

December 2017 Wedding Wednesday: Emily + John

Emily + John's wedding this past summer up at Grand Superior Lodge was spectacular, spectacular! Floral inspiration from "Fairy Dell" china; a delicate but bright floral print paired brilliantly with the lush green landscape + blue waters of Lake Superior!.

Emily's bouquet consisted of peonies, dahlias, tweedia, scabiosa, spray roses, astilbe, seeded eucalyptus, + ranunculus in a variety of bright + happy hues. John's boutonniere coordinated nicely consisting of a succulent with a ruby spray rose + seeded eucalyptus accent.
